Opening an account
Opening an account with us is a simple but secure process, which shouldn’t take more than a few minutes. There are 14 steps to completing your account before being able to deposit and place bets through our app or website. On both the website and our app there is a Join link at the top right of the page. The next steps are outlined clearly but if you need any more assistance please take a look at this guide. Please be aware that for your security we will require proof of address as well as proof of age. We have outlined what documents are acceptable during the sign up process but if you are ever stuck or have any concerns then please see the verification help page.
The final step is to enter your payment details. Depositing is optional, but you will need money in your account if you wish to place a bet. As part of signing up to Sky Bet we often run an introduction offer. To redeem this and receive your free bets you are required to meet the minimum deposit stake outlined within the offer. Deposit Limits
This simple tool can help you to control how much you spend in a daily, weekly, or monthly period - you decide. Deposit Limits consider both deposits into your account and withdrawals, this means they are a ‘net’ amount (deposits – withdrawals).
Deposit Limits can help you manage your spending if you ensure you set responsible limits which are relevant to your personal financial situation and indicate funds you can afford to lose.
Cool Off Periods

Keep detailed records of your betting

Placing a bet
Typically, betting online allows you to bet on more sports than you would find in a high street betting shop. At Sky Bet we offer markets on a huge range of sports with various offers being published for customers to take advantage of.
Each time you want to add a selection to your virtual betting split, click on the odds adjacent to that selection and you will see it appear on 'My Bet Slip' to the right of the screen.
- Should you wish to place a single - i.e. a straightforward bet to win - simply enter your stake in the box. Next to it, you'll see how much that bet would return were it to win (subject to any deductions such as Rule 4). Once you've entered your stake and wish to place your bet, click the green button to do so.
- If your desired bet involves multiple selections, work your way around the site and add each to the betting slip. Make sure you are choosing both the selection and the event or market you wish to select.
As you do this, the various bet types available to you will appear. These will be familiar to anyone who is used to choosing a specific betting slip, or writing your own instructions, in betting shops: Lucky 15, 31 and 63s; Yankees, Super Yankees; Heinz and Trixies. Sky Bet Offers and Promos
Another area in which betting online comes into its own are the vast amount of offers and promos that customers can take advantage of. We have outlined some of our more popular offers below but by browsing the site over your preferred sports and markets you may see many more.
Money Back As Cash
The Money Back as Cash promotion is an offer we run on selected races whereby if your selection doesn't win we will refund your stake or the win part of an each way bet, up to the value of £10.
Extra Places
Extra Places is a promotion we offer on selected races meaning that we will pay out an extra place than our standard terms on Each Way bets. So if your horse finishes 4th on an extra places race and we usually pay out for 3 places, the place part of any Each Way bet will still be paid out.
Best Odds Guaranteed
A Sky Bet promise that you’ll get paid out at higher odds if the starting price is bigger than the odds were when you placed the bet. It’s important to note that this is only applicable on bets placed on the day of the race after 9 am as well as certain types of races. For more information please see here.
Soccer Special/Saturday Price Boost
This is one of the reasons why our customers love us. Every week of the football season (sometimes twice) we boost a threefold accumulator of which we pick two results and you pick the third. The SSPB is popular with those who like to back favourites at a good price.
Double Up Boost
Available on a lot of our bigger games, Double Up Boost’s take popular offers and as the name suggests, doubles the winnings. An example of this could be ‘Mo Salah to have 2+ Shots on Target’ if originally this was priced at 5/1, this would then be boosted to 10/1. That means that a £10 stake on this promotional price would return £110 rather than £60.

Tracking your bets
Within Sky Bet it’s easy to keep a detailed record of your bets, including those which have been settled, plus other transactions on your account such as deposits and withdrawals. By clicking 'My Bets' you can see the status of all wagers, and find out more information if you wish to.
This feature also enables you to keep track of live bets, i.e. those which are still open, as well as view results and returns for settled bets.
Cash Out
Cash out markets are an exciting way of gaining further control over how you bet. This feature allows you to choose to settle your bet at the price shown of which is reflective of the game, match or fight currently playing.
For instance, if you have a five-fold on the football and all teams are leading with 10 minutes to play, you might choose to accept the offer generated and displayed in My Bets. It will be lower than the amount you stand to win should scores remain as they are, but if you've chosen to Cash Out, you are no longer affected by the results.
Bets do not have to be in a strong position to generate Cash Out offers. You may decide to take a portion of your initial stake back if an event has not gone to plan, or your option has changed. Doing so could help you to limit loss, but don't forget if the bet were to go on and win, you will have in effect sold your ticket.

Withdrawing/Depositing money
At any time, you can withdraw all or part of your account balance. You can do this via My Account and click Manage Payment Methods. You'll find the option to deposit, and to withdraw, and this is also where you can add or remove bank cards when you need to.
Withdrawals typically take up to five days to reach your bank account, but with Sky Bet's 'Fast Withdrawals' you could have the funds within a couple of hours. There's more on that here. Please be aware, we have blocked deposits from credit cards. This forms part of our belief that gambling should always remain enjoyable, along with being consistent with regulatory changes across the UK.
